Kindergarten vs Unravel
Kindergarten
Kindergarten aims to bring you back to the time when you're in kindergarten doing what kindergarteners always do... in addition to the learning, of course. The game is designed more like a puzzle-adventure game rather than a straight-up adventure, since there will be plenty of creeping around the grown-ups as you try to figure out what caused the many things that happened in your kindergarten, including the case of a missing classmate, the janitor cleaning up blood, a teacher who dreads being in the same room as a bunch of kindergarteners, and generally a kindergarten that just feels a bit off.The game is as whimsical as it is entertaining, and for a game in a rather uncharted territory, it ended up feeling like the sort of game that many players regardless of age would love. After all, who hasn't been to a kindergarten to know what it is like, right?
Unravel
Unravel is a very unique puzzle-platformer that features an adorable yarn-made character that’s aptly called Yarny. With a heart-warming story that has no words to drive the game, you’ll get to set off on a beautiful adventure with Yarny as he tries to reconnect the long-lost memories of his family. The gameplay in Unravel is simply amazing. Being a physics-based puzzle game, players will need to use Yarny’s single thread to interact with the gorgeous game environment, which was inspired by the beautiful forests of Northern Scandinavia by the way, to swing across a wide gap or hitch a ride on a flying kite. Although the puzzles may seem difficult or maybe impossible at first, the tools that you/Yarny has is more than enough to solve them.
Unravel is not only a fun and challenging puzzle game but it also provides players with an emotional, heartfelt journey and a charming character to play as. It’s an excellent game and is one you should definitely play especially if you’re into games from this sort of genre.
