Machinarium vs Syberia
Machinarium
Machinarium is an award-winning, puzzle-adventure game where you'll need to help Josef the robot rescue his equally robotic girlfriend Berta from the Black Cap Brotherhood gang. The game features plenty of logic-based puzzles along with a nice smattering of mini-games and adventure-based quests. The hand-drawn art style used in this game is perfectly apt for the overall theme of the game as well. Couple that with an epic soundtrack and you'll get a level of immersion that you might have never experienced before (or perhaps rarely) in a puzzle-adventure game. At the end, you'll actually feel for Josef himself. So, if you're up for a rather depressing and yet heartwarming puzzle-adventure game that will give your brain a run for its money, this is definitely the game to buy. If you get the chance, you should really try it.
Syberia
Syberia is the first game in the Syberia franchise that follows the story of Kate Walker, a New York attorney who is tasked to handle the purchase of an automaton factory in the alpines. However, things turn out to be more windy than she had expected. She embarked on her quest to seek the eccentric yet genius inventor, Hans, and in her journey she got to meet a cast of interesting characters and clues that hopefully can shed some light on the mystery that shrouded Syberia. Of course, in addition to the point-and-click part of the adventure, there will also be challenging puzzles to solve. With a compelling storyline and a relatable protagonist, Syberia is a brilliant puzzle adventure game that will go beyond your imagination. If you enjoy a good story and fun puzzles, this is a game you'll want in your games library.
