Magic: The Gathering Arena vs Rise of Mythos

Games Like Magic: The Gathering Arena

Magic: The Gathering Arena

Magic: The Gathering Arena is a spin-off. free-to-playgame from one of the most popular trading card game worldwide, Magic: The Gathering. In many ways, it's very similar to Magic: The Gathering Online since they are both basically the same games with the same rules. However, when it comes to attractiveness, MTG Arena definitely wins hands-down.

Aside from having superior graphics, it has plenty of exciting animations, screen shaking, and sound effects to keep you engaged as you play. The gameplay may be standard but all of these extras do make a noticeable difference. In fact, with all the bells and whistles, the game is certainly well-packaged to be ported to the mobile platform.

However, since the game's still in beta, there is plenty of stuff that fans of the paper game might not be able to enjoy just yet. The cards, for instance, aren't all there yet, and so are the game modes. For a trading card game, the trading feature isn't implemented in the game as well.

That being said, Magic: The Gathering Arena is perhaps one of the best digital MTG games out there, beating out MTG Online and Magic Duels by a mile. The free-to-play game may not be flawless but at least it is not a grind to play, has a fun gameplay, and has plenty of room to expand and grow. If you're a fan of Magic: The Gathering, you'll want to give this game a try.

Rise of Mythos

Rise of Mythos is browser-based MMOCCG that has a rather surprising depth. Featuring a "save the world"-styled storyline, the game offers a challenging and yet interesting gameplay that has given rise to other browser-based MMOCCG, like Summoner’s Legion. It also provides up to 4 archetype classes for you to choose from as well as a range of MMO features, like various PvE and PvP encounters, events and competitive tournaments, to enjoy. There are even a huge variety of cards from 7 different factions that you can mix and match to build up your own deck.

Rise of Mythos may never be as successful or as popular as Hearthstone, but it is doing really good for an MMOCCG that you can play dirctly on your browser. So, what are you waiting for? Choose your realm and join in the battle in Rise of Mythos today!
