Metallic Child vs Robomaniac

Metallic Child

Metallic Child is a sci-fi-themed roguelike action RPG that’s set onboard the space laboratory known as Life Stream. In this game, you play as a human controlling Rona, the very first metallic child created by Dr Irene who’s on a mission to figure out why her creator caused a rebellion and took control of both the other metallic children she has created and also the space lab that housed all of them. Can you defeat all the other metallic children and perhaps convince the good doctor to see the error of her ways?

All in all, Metallic Child is a well-made and designed action roguelite with fun hack and slash gameplay, an engaging story, gorgeous anime graphics, and a difficulty level that you can adjust to your own skill level and needs. Don’t let the game’s high-ish price tag put you off! You’ll definitely find a lot of value in this game, especially if you’re already a fan of roguelites and anime. That said, although the game can be played on the good ol’ keyboard and mouse, it’s actually designed for controllers and would play even better if you use them.

Robomaniac

Robomaniac is a casual RPG that follows in the footsteps of games like Hero Zero. However, instead of casting you as the neighborhood superhero, you get to build and customize your own robot in this game. Set on the planet of Centerra, the world is almost devoid of human life due to a massive catastrophic event that had happened 30 years ago. After the radiation levels returned to normal, the robots that those colonials left behind began to reactivate and eventually, a thriving but "dog-eat-dog"-style society of robots grew from the ashes of the previous human civilization.

Much like Hero Zero or any other browser-based casual RPGs, you'll need to make your character the best that it can be by not only taking on friendlies and rivals in duels and other PvP-oriented matches; you will also need to spend the Credits you've earned in improving your bot just so it can beat up tougher bots later down the road. The game also features fun mission-based quests, plenty of crazy upgrades, and of course, a humorous tone that may just tickle your funny bone from time to time.

The English version of Robomaniac has recently been released. So, if you like casual RPGs, you might want to give this game a try!
