My Talking Tom is a pretty unique game where you get to adopt your very own virtual tom cat. Of course, you'll start off with a kitten (named Tom) but by taking good care of it and catering to its needs, your kitty will gradually grow into the cat it is meant to be. Being a pet simulation game, you'll not only get to dress up your cat; you can decorate his surroundings as well. You can even send your cat to various locations around the world and take pictures for your scrapbook or play some fun mini-games with him.

The best part about this game though is how Tom respond to your actions. You can poke, stroke, tickle or drag him around and he will react accordingly. Like a parrot, you can also talk to him and he'll repeat everything you say back to you. This sort of reactive interaction is practically unheard of prior to My Talking Tom.

Unlike most pet simulations, the "My Talking" game series often have pets that have incredibly realistic emotions and expressions, in addition to being very adorable, making it a perfect game for players of all ages... and yes, this includes toddlers. My Talking Tom is the very first game in the series and is definitely the most established one. So, if you are interested to give the game a try, this game is your best bet. Neopets is rather old yet entertaining simulation/virtual world game that lets you adopt and take care of magical and unique pets. This means that you'll be expected to build them a home, buy them food, clothes and other cool stuff. Set in a cartoonish and immense world, you can even set off on exciting adventures with your pet. Best part is that the
pets in this game can grow alongside you and they have different looks for different stages of growth, much like the Pokemon in a Pokemon game. There are plenty of fun mini-games to keep you engaged for hours on end as well.

Although the game is a bit on the old side (being released in 1997 and all), the game still holds its charm for players who want a game that's a combination of a usual pet simulation/collection game with a virtual world game.
