Old School Runescape vs Rappelz
Old School Runescape
Old School Runescape is the very first old-school version of Runescape, one of the largest and earliest 2.5D free-to-play MMORPG. For sentimental or nostalgic's sake, players can once again dive into the wonderful and expansive world of Gielinor. For players who have played Runescape back when it was "cool" before, they might already know about the funny quests that they get to enjoy, the extensive character customization and progression system, the robust and frankly thriving auction/trading system, the old-school crafting, fun group dungeons and the crazy ton of events and other content to keep you engaged for months on end. Oh and of course, the lose everything you are carrying if you die and couldn't make it back to your corpse in time before other players stumble on it and loot it.The hardcore players of Runescape had to pressure Jagex to bring back the Old School Runescape once the game franchise has evolved so much to cater to the younger generation of players and in some way, we are glad they did. This game is a testament to how far Runescape as a franchise has come and not to mention, it's truly one of the best classic MMORPGs of all time.
Rappelz
Rappelz is an MMORPG that was released in 2009 and developed by Gala Lab in South Korea. It features a traditional dark fantasy world with familiar mechanics, such as running dungeons, questing and PvPing. The game also has three distinct races that provide different lore and a set of character classes to unlock through character progression. Interestingly though, it also has an amazing pet system where players can capture and train their own pets so they can aid them in battle.Despite being an old game with somewhat outdated visuals, Rappelz still has some interesting features that anyone can still enjoy trying it out. The best part though is that the game still receives new content update every month to keep players hooked. It has recently been updated with a brand-new expansion and this is not something that's about to stop any time soon!
