Pokemon Planet is a Pokemon-themed, MMO adventure-RPG where you'll not only get to strive to "become the very best like no one ever was"; you'll also be able to assemble a team of Pokemon from various generations/regions (except the ones from Alola). It even features graphics that will definitely twinge that sense of nostalgia in your heart, especially for those who have loved Pokemon ever since their childhood days.

The game plays out pretty much like the usual handheld Pokemon games of old, except that this time around, the game is an MMO and hence, you can actually interact with other players in the game. This does make trading Pokemon or dueling a lot easier. However, since the game is not Nintendo-affiliated, the developers are restricted from using certain assets of the franchise, which apparently includes animation and sound effects, but oddly enough, that exclude all the Pokemon designs and every other game element in the game like Gyms and Pokemon Centers.

Although Pokemon Planet is not a Nintendo-created game, it is the sort of Pokemon game that fans of the franchise have always dreamed of. It has the entire package, from the nostalgic graphics to all the Pokemon you can possibly catch (and then to duel other players with). Personally, I believe Pokemon has always been a game that's just primed for an MMO game, and Pokemon Planet simply one-up Nintendo by turning that into a reality (first). Zenonia S: Rifts in Time

Zenonia S: Rifts in Time is an anime-inspired MMORPG title - the first of its kind - within the Zenonia game series. Apparently, Gamevil has given up adding numbers to their single-player Zenonia series and have created something of a spin-off MMO. Regardless of the major shift from single to multiplayer, the game still retains the charm that has rocketed the series to fame in the first place - it's Legend of Zelda-like experience albeit in a more anime format.

Being an MMO now, the game provids players with an online hub of sorts - a virtual town - to interact with each other and with various helpful NPCs including quest givers and PvP arena ringmasters. The game also features the usual hack-and-slash combat system, many character classes and pretty graphics.

Although it's nice that the game's now a multiplayer game, we feel like the game has not really made the most of its multiplayer function and had restricted itself in terms of the features that are available. Not to mention, having a great storyline has never been this series' storng suit and this weakness is very evident in this game.

All in all though, if you've always wanted to try an MMO version of Zenonia, this game definitely fit the bill in spite of some of its downsides. After all, it's a free game. So, download it today on your mobile devices and give it a try! Anime PvP
