The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game vs Zenonia S: Rifts in Time
The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game
The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game is a pretty sophisticated collectible card game that's based on the original physical card game, as well as the popular Lord of the Rings franchise. In this game, you'll get to embark on an exhilarating adventure with Bilbo, Gloin and their friends on a journey across the Misty Mountains.Featuring a gameplay that's intricate, unique and challenging, you'll need to battle various creatures of Mistwood, along with any of Sauron's many minions that you encounter along the way. You will get to collect tons of cards and add them to your deck via its deck-building feature. The game is currently a single-player campaign experience, but it's going to get a co-op option soon. More campaigns will be added as well.
The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game seems like a truly challenging card game that fans of the genre can enjoy. The epic storyline, the breathtaking graphics (card art, specifically) and even the superb voice acting are amazing enough to keep you engaged from start to finish! Although the game isn't exactly a digitized version of the physical version, the changes made do make the game more suitable for its new digital platform and players.
Zenonia S: Rifts in Time
Zenonia S: Rifts in Time is an anime-inspired MMORPG title - the first of its kind - within the Zenonia game series. Apparently, Gamevil has given up adding numbers to their single-player Zenonia series and have created something of a spin-off MMO. Regardless of the major shift from single to multiplayer, the game still retains the charm that has rocketed the series to fame in the first place - it's Legend of Zelda-like experience albeit in a more anime format.Being an MMO now, the game provids players with an online hub of sorts - a virtual town - to interact with each other and with various helpful NPCs including quest givers and PvP arena ringmasters. The game also features the usual hack-and-slash combat system, many character classes and pretty graphics.
Although it's nice that the game's now a multiplayer game, we feel like the game has not really made the most of its multiplayer function and had restricted itself in terms of the features that are available. Not to mention, having a great storyline has never been this series' storng suit and this weakness is very evident in this game.
All in all though, if you've always wanted to try an MMO version of Zenonia, this game definitely fit the bill in spite of some of its downsides. After all, it's a free game. So, download it today on your mobile devices and give it a try!
