Thief 2: The Metal Age

Thief 2: The Metal Age is the highly anticipated, award-winning sequel to the incredible, stealth-based game, Thief (now called Thief Gold). This game features 15 new, non-linear and complex levels filled with tons of stuff to steal and guards to outwit. The AI in the game has been drastically improved as well, along with the addition of new tools to use and a compelling storyline set in an alternative world where powerful technologies and fanatical religion streneously co-existed.

Despite being a rather old-school game, you can experience why this game franchise has blown up back then. Its stealth-based gameplay is pretty awesome and the plot is the best in the series. It is actually this second installment which had inducted the Thief game series into the coveted games' Hall of Fame!

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the first sequel to the Splinter Cell game series. Featuring an epic continuation of the plot, this game puts you once again into the shoes of Sam Fisher, a former secret operative of the NSA's Third Echelon who turned renegade when he find himself betrayed by the very agency he spilled his blood for. In addition to having your colleagues from the Third Echelon hot on your tail, you have to race to foil a devastating terrorist plot that will cost millions of innocent lives.

This game has stepped up its game by offering a host of improvements ranging from better and admittedly cooler arsenal to aid you in your mission, a more gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and best of all, the newly added multiplayer function that allows you to play with friends.

However, the game has definitely not aged well and plenty of players have reported problems when trying to run the game on current systems. Not to mention, the game seems to have set aside its stealth-heavy approach and opt for a more instinctive cover-and-shoot system. This is still good and all if the cover system is actually needed to play the game - it's not.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction may not be what many have expected it to be but it still has one hell of a storyline. Oh and don't forget to make sure the game works on your system before the refund period ends!
