Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction vs Tom Clancy's The Division
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the first sequel to the Splinter Cell game series. Featuring an epic continuation of the plot, this game puts you once again into the shoes of Sam Fisher, a former secret operative of the NSA's Third Echelon who turned renegade when he find himself betrayed by the very agency he spilled his blood for. In addition to having your colleagues from the Third Echelon hot on your tail, you have to race to foil a devastating terrorist plot that will cost millions of innocent lives. This game has stepped up its game by offering a host of improvements ranging from better and admittedly cooler arsenal to aid you in your mission, a more gripping storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and best of all, the newly added multiplayer function that allows you to play with friends.
However, the game has definitely not aged well and plenty of players have reported problems when trying to run the game on current systems. Not to mention, the game seems to have set aside its stealth-heavy approach and opt for a more instinctive cover-and-shoot system. This is still good and all if the cover system is actually needed to play the game - it's not.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction may not be what many have expected it to be but it still has one hell of a storyline. Oh and don't forget to make sure the game works on your system before the refund period ends!
Tom Clancy's The Division
Tom Clancy's The Division is an excitingly new franchise developed from the Tom Clancy name. Unlike the Ghost Recon series, this game features you as a special operative that has been deployed to a devastated New York City after a pandemic swept across the city and many others during Black Friday. As expected of any post-apocalyptic event, the less civic-minded people have emerged, such as the Rikers and the Cleaners, and they intend to take control of New York by instilling terror on any survivors they met (or sometimes actively sniff out). It is these poor survivors you'll be standing up for and protecting as you carry out your mission to hopefully clear out the enemies and bring some form of security back into the city.Featuring a tactical cover-based gameplay that Ghost Recon is famous for, The Division provides a game environment where the time of day or the weather can be used to your advantage when planning an assault. There is also the Dark Zone in the middle of Manhattan where you can work cooperatively with a team of players to scavenge for valuable loot left behind by the evacuated military or turn bandit and attack other players to steal their hard-earned loot. It's completely your choice! Being part of a triple-A franchise, the game is also expectedly excellent in terms of graphics and effects.
Tom Clancy's The Division is the MMO that many fans have been clamoring for. With tons of customization options, most of which are cosmetic in nature, for your character and a wide variety of weaponry, there are plenty of content to keep you engaged in this game, making its cost very much worth it especially if you'll be playing the game with friends.
